Please join Mary Burns and Bhante Sukhacitto for a day long Insight Dialogue Retreat investigating and cultivating human goodness.
In this daylong retreat, silent and walking meditation will be interwoven with periods of structured Insight Dialogue contemplations exploring Buddhist teachings on wholesome mind states called the Brahma Viharas (loving kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy, equanimity). Together we will cultivate these beneficial attitudes of the human heart-mind with the support of the six Insight Dialogue guidelines.
Insight Dialogue is an interpersonal meditation practice that brings together meditative awareness, the wisdom teachings of the Buddha and the power of relationship to support insight into the nature, causes, and release of human suffering. In Insight Dialogue, we engage in a carefully guided practice of meditation while listening and speaking with others.
Previous meditation experience is highly desirable but not essential.
